Flag Clothes

Of course, flags do not need to be only displayed on the wall or in a flag style way. How about paintings with flags, decorations of all kinds and especially flag clothes. A big business especially around the fourth of July in the United States of America is the sale of American flag clothing and similar items holding images of the American flag.

Historically rebel flag clothes were worn mostly by soldiers to identify their troops and be distinguished. The flag then was sown onto the soldiers uniform in the form of a small flag patch of emblem. Rebel flag clothing is still sold, even though it is not as welcome displayed in broad public as the United States flag clothing is. Every other year at prom time there is a girl somewhere that thinks it is a good ides to wear a rebel flag prom dress, but it has been shown over and over again that it is not the smartest move. Confederate flag prom dresses are usually banned from being displayed at proms by the school principal or school council and the only possible place where a confederate flag dress or rebel flag dress might be welcome are reenactments of the Civil war and historical museums that display life as it was throughout history. Confederate flag clothing can be bought at some retailers online or if you really, really want something special you can buy fabric displaying the confederate flag and sew it yourself or have it custom made.

As mentioned before, wearing clothing that has the national flag of the United States incorporated in its design is a very common sight in the US, especially on the fourth of July. T-shirts bearing the image or cute little girls cloth made from stars and stripes fabric are seen everywhere. From earrings to pants and even socks you can be dressed up in red, white and blue on every part of your body. One thing you should keep in mind wearing clothing with the US flag, never use a real flag as shift make or sown clothing. It is almost considered a crime to cut up or destroy an American flag, since they properly can only be disposed of in a burning ceremony.

Of course other flags have also impacted in the clothing industry and a very common sight in sports is for example checkered flag inspired clothing. The checkered flag is commonly used in motor sports to signal the end of a race. But with its nice black and white contrasting colors checkered flag fabric makes for a good addition to bright colored sports equipment and clothing.
